The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), a pet project of the Odutayo led Exco, is the youth development arm of the United Yoruba of Tulsa (UYOT), created to inspire, empower, and connect the next generation of Yoruba leaders.

Open to youths ages 13 to 26, YYC provides a welcoming environment where young people of Yoruba Heritage can build lasting friendships, develop leadership skills, embrace their Yoruba identity, and actively contribute to their community. Through cultural education, mentorship, volunteer service, networking, social activities, and leadership opportunities, we prepare our youth to become confident, responsible, and impactful leaders.

At YYC, we believe that preserving our heritage begins with investing in our youth. By connecting them to their language, culture, traditions, and values, we ensure that the rich legacy of the Yoruba people continues to thrive for generations to come.
